Born To Shine received an award in the ACT Multicultural Community Champion Award for 2020 and in 2019 Born To Shine was the Award Winner for 2019 Community Organisation of the Year Award Category in the Zimbabwe Achievers Awards (ZAA) Australia wide.
We believe women are born to shine. We are committed to women’s success and we are here to ignite that light to improve the status and lives of women and girls despite any challenges. You empower a woman you empower the whole nation. Lack of self-value and self-worth is the root of any dysfunction and poor decision making. We are the voice supporting women to pursue and achieve their dreams by breaking any boundaries/limitations.
Our aim:
- Raise extraordinary, strong and courageous women who are responsible and accountable for every aspect of their life as they recognize and embrace their identity and purpose in life.
- Inspire women to be bold to speak out and act upon what they believe to bring the change they want as they learn how to break free from any limitations and challenges throughout the journey of self-discovery.
- Engage women of different nationalities and age, in unique empowering conferences and activities that promote self-worth, positive mindset, self-confidence, increased resilience and improved health and social well being. This includes rallying women together to celebrate their achievements and encourage each other as they take action moving forward.
- Identify and support those women who are doing it tough and inform them of the appropriate services within the community.
Through our aims and activities, we will provide an environment for women to make informed decisions and choices that will not only benefit themselves but the community at large as they step out into their authentic selves.
